Our Wednesday Group meets on the 1st & 2nd Wednesdays (see Calendar) of each month. ALL levels of meditators are welcome to attend, including those with no previous experience; however, we encourage people to “bring your own practice.” We’re a practice group of fellow travelers, not teachers. The group is led by an SEBC facilitator and generally follows this order:

  • Introduction & Announcements (5 min)
  • Settling-in (<10 min)
    • 4-7-8 breathing exercise/deep breathing
    • Loving-kindness (mettāpractice/setting intention
  • Sitting Meditation (20 min)
    • Answer questions/refresher about meditation, if necessary
    • Mindfulness of breathing (ānāpānasati)
  • Reading & Discussion (20-25 min.)
  • Closing
